Captain Pierpaolo Perugino
From Genova, Italy, Captain Pierpaolo Perugino speaks French and Spanish in addition to Italian and English. He is forty years old and has been working in the recreational yachting industry for the last ten years but has always sailed and done a lot of racing.
Prior to working on yachts full time Pierpaolo was the project manager for an engineering company and worked in the hospitality industry. He has travelled extensively in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and off the West Coast of Africa as either mate or captain on various sailing boats.
Pierpaolo has a MCA Yachtmaster Ocean license in addition to all the modules for the Chief Mate 3000gt. He enjoys all watersports, playing golf, any outdoor activities, and is passionate about music.
Mate Allan White
Allan is 32 years old, from Lanark in Scotland. Prior to working on SY Caldera he was in South Africa and delivered a yacht to Trinidad. From there he travelled to Newport RI on other yachts by way of Antigua and St Martin in the Caribbean.
Allan enjoys surfing, wakeboarding,skiing and snowboarding, and is very passionate about all motorsports.
Chef Michele Doveton
From Margate, South Africa, Michele is forty years old and has been working in the yachting industry for the last ten years. Prior to that she worked off the East coast of South Africa as a PADI and ANDI scuba diving instructor.
Michele has spent the last ten years travelling the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Brazil, Bahamas and the East Coast of the United States working on motor and sail boats in size ranging from 80 to 150 feet. She has a MCA Yachtmaster Offshore license and has worked as a mate on some boats and others as cook/chief stewardess.
Michele is very passionate about sport and exercise and loves to read. She looks forward to welcoming you aboard SY Caldera
